MS Blessing is the Director of Blessing Family Childcare. She is a certified Teacher, BSc in Marketing, master’s in special education and nearly 15yrs of childcare experience as both a parent and childcare provider.
Blessing is a mother of three fantastic children, in my spare time I like to cook and travel.

- Blessing Family Childcare is participating in the Maryland Alliance for Pre K program.
- Blessing Family Childcare participated in Maryland Excels for quality early childhood at level 3.
- Ms. Blessing is credentialed with the department of Education at level 3
- Blessing Family Childcare is a member of the Maryland childcare association of family childcare.
Philosophy Statement
I strive to provide and encourage creativity, children will be taught life skills, such as learning how to share, taking turns, following directions and problem solving. My program provides children with unconditional love, emotional security, sense routine and opportunity to be creative and playful.
OUR GOALS ARE:
- Care that is based on each child’s age, abilities and interests
- Consistent and age-appropriate routines
- Activities that meet the developmental and educational needs of each child including those with disabilities and special health care needs
- Respectful and engaging environment.
- Safety and health of the children while attending our program
- Developmental and age-appropriate play.
CERTIFICATIONS:
I am a licensed childcare provider, who complies with all the applicable Maryland state department of Educations regulations and standard. These standards relate to my home, Health, safety procedures, nutrition and business practices.
I hold the following certification:
- CPR Certified
- First Aid Certified
- SIDs and other sleep-Related Infant Death Certified.
- Certified in Emergency and Disaster Preparedness for childcare providers.
- Infant and Toddler Development Curriculum Planning (45hrs)
- Maryland State Department of Education covid 19 training.
- Maryland Excel.
- Credential Level 3.
CURRICULUM
We believe that each child is unique individual, and all children can learn. In our program we use creative curriculum to help children become independent, self-confident, inquisitive and enthusiastic learners by actively exploring their environment.
Assessment will be conducted using several tools and the one way to conduct assessment is through observation.
Developmental checklists are used as another tools for assessment. We also use ASQ (Ages and Stages Questionnaire) as an assessment, especially children less than 5yrs. You will be asked to also complete a copy of ASQ, once the copy is receive, we can compare outcomes and identify any possible development delays to be addressed.
This information will be used to create a customized development support plan for your child and will only be shared during parent conferences.
ACCEPTS SUBSIDY
Blessing Family Childcare accept childcare subsidy and will work with eligible parent for financial assistance, and I also run a fully paid pre-K program.
